Transaction limits
Transaction limits
To ensure security and reduce the risk of fraudulent transactions, acquiring banks set individual transaction limits for each merchant’s virtual payment terminal. These limits apply to both the number of transactions and the total amounts processed over a specific period.
After enabling internet acquiring, the acquiring bank provides the necessary limits to WEBPAY. During the creation and configuration of the merchant’s personal account, WEBPAY sets these limits in the system.
During operation, situations may arise where you need to adjust these limits. In such cases, the new limits are coordinated with the acquiring bank and updated in the WEBPAY system.
After the limits are updated, a notification is sent to the email address specified in the "Settings" → "Company" section. The notification includes:
- The name of the updated limit and its value;
- The organization’s name;
- The Billing ID;
- The website URL.
